Feeling overwhelmed? How to prioritize your well-being.

Do you feel you are having too many tasks or responsibilities to handle within a limited time frame (work-related tasks, household chores, personal commitments, etc.) ?  Do you set high and maybe unrealistic expectations for yourself ?

Sometimes, we find it difficult to set boundaries with others and it can also contribute to overwhelm. Saying yes to too many commitments or allowing others to encroach on personal time and space can lead to feeling stretched too thin.

Learn to say no! Say no to additional commitments when you're already feeling overwhelmed, because setting boundaries with others can help prevent overextending yourself and preserve your mental and emotional energy!

Do you find you lack or neglect self-care activities such as exercise, adequate sleep, relaxation, and hobbies ?

Allow yourself short breaks throughout the day to rest and recharge, and take time away from tasks. Make self-care activities a priority, including exercise, adequate sleep, healthy eating, relaxation techniques (such as meditation or deep breathing), and engaging in hobbies and activities you enjoy. You can also incorporate mindfulness techniques into your daily routine, such as mindfulness meditation or simply being present in the moment.

If you are facing significant life changes or uncertainty about the future, you may also have some feelings of overwhelm. Address those feelings and try to identify the underlying causes.

Prioritize tasks, set boundaries, and practice self-care. This may involve seeking support from friends, family, or mental health professionals if needed.

Remember that it's okay to ask for help and prioritize your well-being!
