Emotional Freedom Technique - Tapping
Because Tapping helps to soothe the nervous system and to rewire the brain, it creates a sense of safety and trust in every aspect of our lives.
How does a typical session go?
Each session is adapted to the person and their specific problem. It begins with a long interview where the person explains their problem. Then, I guide the person who follows my gestures to do the light tapping on themselves. If the person does not want to speak, we can also release their blockage using visualization techniques. The sessions take place gently and follow the person's pace.
If an emotion appears, we accompany it to release it.
We stimulate specific meridian points of the body, which are commonly used in therapeutic acupuncture, while addressing a specific issue (a fear, phobia, stress).
What types of problems can be treated with EFT?
The EFT technique is a quick and effective method for treating emotions that weigh us down such as anger, sadness, feelings of anxiety.
EFT also addresses issues of lack of self-confidence and fear of judgment from others.
We can also eliminate addictive practices, such as smoking, phobias, etc.
How does it work?
Tapping is an evidence-based therapeutic tool that sends calming signals to the amygdala ( the fight-or-flight center alarm of the brain) and reduces cortisol level (stress hormone) by more than 40%. It calms down the nervous system.
anxiety disorders are the most common category of mental health disorders. The American Psychiatric Association estimates that anxiety will affect almost 30% of adults at some point in their lives. Research from 2019 suggests that tapping is able to reduce anxiety symptoms after only one session by improving an individual’s ability to emotionally control.
EFT helps individuals change certain negative thought patterns or behaviors by addressing the underlying emotional triggers. It can assist in breaking cycles of negative thinking or habits
